Sensory and social story time for children with autism

Do you find it difficult to engage your child / pupil with a book? Do they not appear to enjoy stories? This interactive workshop will help you make story time a fun and special time of the day.

Stories are key in developing pre-learning skills as well as communication and social skills – during this workshop we will show you techniques which will give you the confidence to make story time engaging for autistic children and Sensory Processing Disorders.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn practical tips on how to tailor any story to a child’s level of development and use props to make the story even more enjoyable and interactive to maintain a child’s attention throughout the story. The workshops are suitable for any parent as well as professionals working with autistic young children.
