To ensure that the content we share online is ethical and in line with the values we hold here at BeyondAutism, we have a committee of representatives from different sections of the organisation. They have developed our Terms of Reference by which we are guided in our decisions of the content we will share and be a part of. David has worked within the field of special educational needs since 2005 and joined BeyondAutism in 2015. Since then, he has worked in leadership roles in our Schools, Sixth Form and Post-19 service. He has studied at a range of institutions including the Institute of Education; The Central School of Speech & Drama; University of the Arts London; and is continuing his postgraduate studies at Queen’s University Belfast. David has experience of working within a range of schools and services, including primary, secondary, and adult provision. David is passionate about all learners having access to an education that ensures they develop the skills and knowledge to become active citizens in their communities whilst having choice and control over their own lives. With the right support and opportunity, David believes all learners can reach their individual aspirations and outcomes.
An experienced Behaviour Analyst, Andy has worked in the field, in homes, schools and organisations since 2000. He has been BCBA qualified since February 2014 working predominantly in Autism Services.
Tom qualified and has worked as a Speech and Language Therapist since 2005, working predominantly in special educational settings in and around London. He has worked in independent settings and for NHS Trusts. Tom is part of a number of Clinical Excellence Networks and Forums to ensure that his autism knowledge and practice remain relevant and supportive to the learners and families that he works with.
Karen studied ABA in Ireland before moving to London 8 years ago. She has worked in various ABA settings across Greater London including Jigsaw School, Ambitious College, Snowflake School as well as for Hillingdon Local Authority.
Karen has worked with a range of individuals with autism from the age of 4 through to 21. She has been Board Certified for over two years.
Russell has been with BeyondAutism since 2013, most recently as an ABA Supervisor in our Post-19 service. He completed his MSc in ABA at the University of Kent and is currently working towards his BCBA. He previously worked in a range of SEN services and on ABA home programmes and is passionate about sharing his experience of the positive impact of ABA with a wider audience.
Mike has over 25 years of management experience in the Third Sector, with much of his early career spent working in the field of mental health and with people who have multiple and complex physical difficulties. He holds a Master’s Degree in Disability Management in work and rehabilitation.
Leanna has worked in marketing and communications across a number of different areas for over 15 years, with 2 of those being at BeyondAutism. Her previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry provides insight into the importance of ethics of marketing in a heavily regulated industry.
Muna joined the BeyondAutism team at Tram House School in May 2021 as a Kickstarter pathway trainee after graduating with a First in Psychology. In November, Muna transitioned into an administrative role at the school where she is excited to continue contributing to the BeyondAutism team.
