Early Years’ gets a new home

25th February 2021

We’re delighted to announce that Early Years’ now has a permanent home after moving into new premises in Bromley. The first children and parents came through the doors on Wednesday morning to enjoy the additional space in the building.

The new location will allow us to support more families as we extend our reach throughout London and beyond. In the coming months, we look forward to creating links with local groups and businesses as we settle into the community.

Throughout our property searchSouthside Wandsworth Shopping Centre and The London Museum of Water and Steam generously offered use of their space to run our sessionsHaving access to these centres during the pandemic has been invaluable. It has enabled us to continue offering our support to parents when they needed it most.

“Like so many, our funding has been hit hard by the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. It’s not always easy for projects or services to get set up in a new home during these difficult times. Thanks to key supporters including Children in Need, the National Lottery Community Fund and Constable Education Trust amongst many others, we have been able to make a seamless transition to this wonderful new space and are excited at what the future brings to Early Years and the children we are privileged to work with. Mike Calver, Head of Donor Engagement

Designed for parents to attend with their children, Early Years’ focuses on creating positive outcomes in social, emotional, cognitive and speech development in a fun, playful environment. Our Early Years’ and School Readiness Groups prepare children for their next steps and support parents on their journey. Find out more about the service here.

Early Years’ wouldn’t be possible without the wonderful support we receive from our supporters and grant making trusts. It costs over £200,000 a year to keep the service free for those who use it. We are grateful to everyone who so generously contributes towards the service. If you’d like to make a donation to keep Early Years’ free you can do so here.

“We absolutely love being part of the Early Years’ family. You are making a big difference to our life and in fact, we feel much more confident and hopeful than ever before. Thank you so much for supporting all of us!” Early Years’ parent, 2020
