With record numbers awaiting an autism diagnosis, families are facing longer waits than ever to receive the help they need. 86% of referrals take more than the 3 months listed in NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) guidance. To support those families looking for information and guidance, we’re delighted to announce the launch of our brand new resource hub.

The hub was made possible thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund and brings together all of our existing resources as well as boasting loads of new content. The hub has an easy-to-use design, making it simple to navigate for parents and professionals. As well as hosting our current resources, there are 30 new factsheets, targeted at parents going through the diagnostic process: from understanding behaviour and sensory needs to practical support and strategies for things like toileting and puberty. There are also 5 new explainer videos on the following topics: autism, communication, eating, education and transitions.

Check out the new area today and if you find it helpful, please share with friends, family and colleagues!
