
Course Overview
This CPD-certified course offers an advanced look at autism and is designed as a follow-on to our Introduction to Autism training for professionals. Completion of that course is a prerequisite for this module.
You’ll explore a deeper understanding of autism, including specific profiles and the importance of autism identity, helping you to build more informed, inclusive, and person-centred support.
The course takes approximately 4–6 hours to complete and is self-paced to fit around your schedule.

By the end of this course, you will:
- Understand more about specific features of autism including executive functioning, theory of mind and sensory experiences
- Have an increased understanding of co-occurring conditions with autism such as PDA, ADHD sleep issues, feeding selectivity and mental health
- Learn about neurodiversity, autistic identity and advocacy
