Post-19 visit the Imperial War Museum

9th November 2018

To recognise this year’s Remembrance Day, marking 100 years since the end of the First World War, Post-19 students and staff visited the exhibitions at the Imperial War Museum.

The students learnt about recent conflicts by watching short films and engaging with interactive displays as well as viewing the wide range of planes and army vehicles. The poppies which covered one side of the museum were particularly beautiful and of interest to our students.

The learners then had lunch in the museum gardens, enjoying the autumn sun.

Learners at the Imperial War Museum

Following their trip to the Imperial War Museum on Thursday, our learners created their own wreath out of egg boxes that they have displayed at the hub in Yarrow.
