Post-19 go to Brighton

Last week, students from Post-19 were invited to join service users from Yarrow on a trip to Brighton. It was a fantastic opportunity which our students thoroughly enjoyed. Our journey to Brighton was a little longer than expected, but as soon as we arrived we headed to the famous Brighton Palace Pier! It was a busy day on the Pier, but all the students managed the crowds well, working our way through the amusement arcades and ice cream stalls. We had lunch at the end of the Pier, overlooking the sea front and beach. After lunch we headed to the Brighton Sea Life Centre, where students and staff walked through the aquariums and exhibits. Our students were able to walk through a glass tunnel, where sharks, fish and turtles swam overhead! The aquarium trip finished with an opportunity to observe the sea horses and star fish roaming the large tanks. We then rounded off the day with ice cream and ice lollies, sat relaxing on the Pier watching people enjoy the afternoon sun.
