Park House School flowerbed project

27th April 2018

As part of the pupils’ science project of nature and growing we wanted to build a planter for the pupils to plant flowers and care for them to see how they grow. We approached Lawsons Timber, Building and Fencing Supplies in Wandsworth to see if they had any spare pallets that they could donate. Not only did they donate pallets but they kindly built the planter themselves and delivered it to our doorstep!

The planter looks brilliant and some of our pupils spent an afternoon painting it to make the caterpillar colourful. We are extremely grateful to Lawson’s for their generosity and their efforts in putting it together.

Thanks also go to Homebase Wandsworth who donated plants for the pupils to plant in the flower beds as well as seeds that the pupils will be growing in their classrooms. We look forward to seeing the seeds grow in the coming months and then they can be added to the flowerbeds outside.
