Course overview
This course is designed for employers to learn more about autism and be able to create an inclusive working environment for autistic people.
The course covers information on autism, communication, conduct at work, sensory needs, how to implement a vocational assessment and the benefits, as well as exploring possible reasonable adjustments and signposting for further information.
It is recommended you have a copy of BeyondAutism’s Vocational Toolkit available, as it will be referenced throughout this piece of training. The toolkit can be downloaded from the course materials.
By the end of this course, you will:
- Know how to effectively support autistic people in the workplace
- Have access to resources to support autistic people in the workplace
- Know where to find additional support relating to autistic people in the workplace
