Course overview:
- This course provides an introduction to supporting autistic children in the early years
- It is designed to provide the participant with the foundation to further develop their knowledge and skills for working with children in the early years
- The course will take around 4-6 hours to complete

By the end of this course you will:
- know the basic facts about autism in the early years
- understand behaviour, using the 4-term contingency and functions of behaviour
- understand communication methods, how language is learned and how to teach language
- what prompting is and how to prompt effectively
- ways to reduce barriers to completing daily living skills
- how to increase cooperation
- improved understanding of topics such as sleep/feeding/toilet training
