Georgina’s Story

“My name is Georgina and I’m mum to two incredible boys: Rohan, who is six, and Robin, who is three.

Rohan is autistic. He is the absolute light of my life. His smile, his love of bouncing on the trampoline, sprinkling sand and water, swinging high in his basket swing, and relaxing in his hammock bring me endless joy.

Life with Rohan is also tough. The support he needs every single day can feel overwhelming. Things other parents don’t even have to think about are daily struggles for us. Yet his happiness is always my guiding star.

That’s why I’m taking on one of the scariest things I can imagine: a skydive.

I’ve battled my own challenges – living with fibromyalgia, ME, ADHD, BPD, and ongoing mental health struggles. I’ve recently lost four stone, determined to be healthier and have more energy to play with my children. And now, to push myself further, I’m throwing myself out of a plane to raise money for BeyondAutism.

I’m doing this for you, Rohan. My beautiful boy. If you could speak the words, I hope you would say you’re proud to call me your mum. I will always advocate for you, protect you, and love you with every breath.

Too many autistic children don’t get the right support early enough. BeyondAutism’s Early Years service steps in when families have nowhere else to turn. They provide expert teaching, guidance for parents, and a community that understands. They give children like Rohan the chance to learn and thrive, and they give parents like me the strength to keep going.

My target is £400 – every penny goes towards keeping this lifeline free for families.
