Social Opportunities (Socops)

Socops is a local charity who provide social opportunities for children with ASC conditions and their families. They run two clubs during term times, Socops Club for 8 – 15 years and Socops Plus for 15-23. They have activities such as Art, music, dance, cooking, sports, team games, storytelling, animal experiences, and family trips out. Siblings (young carers) are actively encouraged to join in with these activities which are aimed at providing a positive experience for the Autistic child whilst improving social interactive skills, self-esteem and confidence. A small snack and refreshments are offered.
