Plymouth Independent Living is a user led, charitable organisation that provides tenancy support at home and in the community for adults with disabilities that includes physical and learning disabilities, sensory impairment and acquired brain injuries, as well as supporting people with dementia to access services in the community. They help by reading mail, paying bills, liaising with agencies like energy and water companies, social services, health services, etc., budgeting, menu planning, shopping, cooking, attending appointments, tenancy support , training courses such as enabling sessions, Butlins holidays, and various day trips. The service supports people with autism, brain injuries, Down’s syndrome, hearing impairments, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and visual impairments.
