Family Based Short Breaks Team

The Family Based Short Breaks Team offers a regular overnight or weekend breaks in another family home to children or young people with disabilities. Eligible children and young people will have been assessed as needing this service through a social work assessment by the Disabled Children’s Social Work Team (DCT).

Family Based Short Breaks gives the child an opportunity to meet new friends and have some fun while giving the family valuable time to relax and recharge their batteries.
