Derbyshire First Steps Service

The Derbyshire First Steps Service uses the portage model to provide home-visiting for very young children with additional support needs and their families. The service is registered with the National Portage Association and referrals are made via the Local Authority Early Years Special Educational Needs Panel. The service works with children aged 0-5 years who have a significant cognitive delay.
