Cerebra is the charity dedicated to helping families with children (aged 16 or under) with brain conditions discover a better life together. Families where a child has a brain condition face challenges every day. Just to learn, play, make friends, enjoy and experience the world can feel difficult, even impossible. But the service does not believe there is any challenge that can’t be overcome. Research is the foundation for all their work. Whether they are providing an innovative solution to a new problem or new research on an existing condition, Cerebra partners with experts to produce research-driven, evidence-based services, advice and support. Through their research they offer solutions and advice to help these children and their families enjoy lives full of hope and discovery. Cerebra offers a wide range of services and support helping the families of children with brain conditions, which are all free to use: Sleep Advice Service; Library; Legal Rights Service; Parent Guides; and Innovation Centre. Cerebra covers a range of brain conditions. ‘Brain condition’ could mean any neurodevelopmental condition that affects the developing brain, including those caused by illness, genetics or traumatic injury. Brain conditions include (but are not limited to) autism, ADHD, Down’s syndrome, learning disabilities, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and developmental delay.
