CAMHS parents are supported in being able to understand their child’s condition, differences, and behaviours. Some parents have found it very helpful to bring grandparents along to the workshops.

You will be in a group of up to 20 other parents who also have children with an ASD diagnosis. Parents who have attended these workshops often tell them that just being in a room with other people who understood their challenges was supportive in itself.

The workshop is a mixture of teaching, discussion, and group tasks. You will not be forced to say or do anything you feel uncomfortable with. The setting is very informal and relaxed.
