Autism Independent UK holds regular training, hands-on workshops and seminars for parents and professionals involved with the care and treatment of people with Autism. It will also put them in touch with existing services. The Society campaigns for improved facilities, and Government and Local Authority support, for autistic people of all ages. Autism Independent UK provides a library of books and video information, and also has a vast website and forum. The Helpline number – on 01536-523274 (three lines) – operates between 10:00am and 6:00pm (voice mail available at other times).
