Alfreton Park Community Special School caters for pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties. 60% of their pupils are diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). All pupils are educated in mixed classes. They use TEACCH, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and Makaton approaches to support all students.
