Errorless teaching

  • Teaching method that ensures a high level of correct responding, which lowers the value of escape
  • Instructional demands are correlated with an ‘improving set of conditions.’ Frequent errors would lead to a ‘worsening set of conditions’
  • If you know an individual is going to error (it’s something they find hard or a brand-new skill), it can be helpful to prompt them to choose the correct answer before they error and become frustrated
