Post-19 Advisory Board Member
Part-time volunteer role
BeyondAutism’s Post-19 provision is expanding rapidly in response to demand. Advisory Board members are responsible for providing oversight to the three Post-19 hubs, performing the role of ‘critical friend’ in as constructive a manner as possible.
The service provides each of its young adults with a truly personalised curriculum and one-to-one support by dedicated and passionate staff. The ultimate goal of the service is to prepare and support students to live a life of choice and opportunity and to nurture confidence, independence and self-belief.
We are seeking experienced individuals to become members of the Advisory Board which meets termly. We are keen to hear from individuals with expertise in the following:
- Finance and HR
- Health and Safety
- FE Education (specifically curriculum oversight)
- Employment
This opportunity is both exciting and significant as you will plan a key role in shaping our future development and growth.
Ideally candidates will have:
- Deep knowledge of the adult care sector including full understanding of the vital importance of safeguarding
- Experience of working with a board, either as an executive or board member in the charity, public or private sector
- Experience of working in an educational setting, in a leadership position
- The ability to lead a team to creatively shape outcomes and participate actively in group decision making.
