Post-19 Pastoral Support Lead

Part time, permanent

Due to expansion, we are looking to appoint Post-19 Pastoral Support Lead (Part-time) to work across our Post-19 service.

Who we are looking for:

Dedicated, enthusiastic and motivated individuals who share our mission of empowering those with autism to lead fuller lives.

  • You will have BCBA certification (2 year minimum) or Qualified Teacher Status (2 years minimum) with a minimum of two years of practical ABA or Teaching experience, including some experience of working with adults aged 19-25 with autism
  • Experience of preparing and writing reports for external stakeholders such as Annual Reports, EHCP review meetings and Tribunals

Job Purpose

As the Post-19 Pastoral Support Lead you will be an active member of the service’s middle leadership team. You will be responsible for organising and delivering EHCP meetings, take an active role in safeguarding and supporting learners to transition to and from Post-19.

You will work closely with the Deputy Head of Post-19 to ensure the safeguarding of the students, modelling best practice at all times.

You will work alongside the Deputy Head and monitor the quality of Individual Education Plans, progress and annual review reports, behaviour management plans and other learner progress or planning documents, in conjunction with the Head of Post-19.

This is an exciting time of development for the organisation and we are looking for someone who can monitor and contribute to quality assessment, recording and reporting but also to take an active role in times of external review and scrutiny (including: Ofsted, Local Authority Reviews, service improvement reviews commissioned by the Advisory Board and/or BeyondAutism).

Salary: £28,000 U1 FTE
