Community Fundraising Officer

Full time, permanent

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Senior Fundraising Officer, the Community Fundraising Officer will play a key role in the development and implementation of BeyondAutism’s community fundraising activities, in order to secure funding for project work, capital and revenue costs.

This is an exciting time of development for the organisation and we are looking for a motivated, adaptable and proactive individual, experienced in community fundraising, with some digital fundraising knowledge, to join our dedicated team.

The Community Fundraising Officer will be an essential member of the fundraising team, working collaboratively with colleagues to identify funding needs and generate supporter networks. We have in the past enjoyed fundraising success from corporates, lottery, trusts, major donors and events. You will use your experience to develop wider local income streams, and work at times with the Comms Department on related social media campaigns.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in the role of Community Fundraiser, working and networking with community groups, confident working independently, equipped with a strategic mind-set, focus, drive, and enthusiasm, as well as having excellent communication and relationship building skills.

You will be adept at planning and prioritising to meet the multiple calls on your time. Using all these skills and traits will be essential to the roll out of the fundraising plan – one that delivers on our strategic financial and non-financial objectives.

The ideal candidate will have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of communicating complex information to a variety of audiences both in writing and in person.

We are particularly seeking applications from people that represent the diversity of our community.

BeyondAutism is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  An enhanced disclosure will be conducted for the successful applicant.
