Professional conference FAQs
What does my ticket include?
Your ticket includes full access to our two-day event, including seminars, workshops, panel discussions, and the networking event on the evening of the 22nd. Light refreshments and lunch will be served each day.
How do I get there?
- Via train: The closest train station is Northampton. The University’s Uno bus services links Waterside campus with the Northampton train and bus stations. You can also walk to campus (about 20 minutes) or take a Taxi (less than 5 minutes).
- Via plane: There are several international airports that are nearby: London Luton (40 miles), Birmingham (45 miles), and East Midlands (54 miles). Birmingham Airport is a regular stop on the London Northwestern Railway line which runs from Northampton; London Luton and East Midlands airports are accessible through a combination of rail and bus.
- Via car: Northampton is just off the M1 (junctions 15, 15a, and 16), which offers easy access to both the North (Leeds) and South (London); through M1 links to M6 (at junction 19) for access to the West (Birmingham). Other major roads which link Northampton to nearby towns and villages to the east and west include A45, A43, and A14.

The Sunley Hotel is located on campus and is a three-minute walk to the Creative Hub building where the conference will take place. They have offered our attendees a preferential rate of £70/night + VAT subject to availability. Please email SunleyHotel@northampton.ac.uk to book and mention that you’re attending the BeyondAutism conference.

Is there disabled access at the University of Northampton?
Yes, the Creative Hub where the conference is taking place and the Leather Room Bar where we’re hosting the networking event both have disabled access.

This conference caters to individuals with autism, parents and carers of autistic individuals, school leaders, educators, SEND professionals, researchers, local authorities, MAT leaders, educational psychologists, HCPC members, behavioural analysts, and anyone passionate about advancing discussions on autism and education.
Will photos and videos be taken at the conference?
Yes, photos and video will be taken by our professional photographer. If you would prefer not to be filmed, please let a member of the BeyondAutism staff know when you check in.
